Pillars Behavioral Health

Our Patients

At Pillars, we work with a diverse group of children, each with unique skills and areas of need. Our focus includes children with varying levels of communication abilities. For example, we work with children who may not be speaking yet to those who may only use gestures to communicate. We also work with children who may only require support with sentence structure or topic selection.

We also support children who exhibit challenging behaviors such as aggression, running away, damaging items, putting objects in their mouths, self-injury, spitting, or other challenging behaviors. Many of the children we serve also need assistance with essential social and adaptive skills including sharing with others, accepting “no” for an answer, waiting patiently, and tolerating activities like getting their hair or nails trimmed.

Additionally, we work with children who may not show much interest in interacting with peers, as well as those who require more advanced skills, such as figuring out what information to share with strangers, how to call 911, and understanding the difference between an “accident” and an action done “on purpose.”

We customize each treatment plan to address the unique needs and skills of your child, regardless of what they currently possess or require.
