At Pillars Behavioral Health, we provide in-home, school-based, and community-based behavior analytic services for children and young adults diagnosed with autism across the state of Texas and North Carolina. We know that every individual is unique, and we believe every child is created with their own strengths, needs, and potential. We take the time to understand each person’s strengths, needs, and interests so that programming reflects their real-life environment. Our therapists can also support families in community settings such as parks, stores, and doctor’s appointments so children can safely practice important skills in real-life environments. Our programs are thoughtfully designed to support growth in a wide range of areas, including adaptive daily living skills, cognitive and visual performance abilities, imitation, receptive language, social and group interaction, play, and meaningful communication.
We place a strong emphasis on supporting functional communication in ways that feel natural, empowering, and respectful. Every goal we target is selected with care, and always with generalization in mind—so that the skills your child or young adult learns at home can be used confidently in everyday life, across settings, with different people, and over time. We also offer monthly family guidance sessions to help you stay informed, feel supported, and be an active part of your loved one’s progress every step of the way.
We understand that ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) has a complicated history—and for some, it has been associated with trauma or rigid, compliance-based methods. At Pillars, we do things differently. Our approach is compassionate, play-based, and rooted in positive reinforcement. We never force participation or push beyond what someone is ready for. Instead, we build trusting relationships, follow their lead, and use their interests as the foundation for meaningful, joyful learning. At Pillars, we believe meaningful change happens when compassion, science, and faith-driven purpose come together to support every child’s growth.
